Patrol Alarm Systems Ltd recognises that your privacy is important. Our privacy notice describes how we use the personal information we collect from you both online and offline (when you fill out paper work etc.), in connection with our services. We may also retain records of your queries and correspondence, in the event that you contact us.

How Patrol Alarms Collect Information

Your personal information and non-personal information is collected in various ways in connection with our sites and services, you will be required to provide personal information when you sign up for our services, and submit forms to us. In addition you may provide personal information by email, telephone or when you make an enquiry through our website.

How long will we keep your personal data?

We will keep your data for the duration of the period you are a customer with us. On closure of your account we may keep parts of your data, after you have cancelled your services with us to satisfy legal and accountancy obligations, for example to HMRC. Customer files will only be kept for the duration of your contract plus 2 years.

Alarm Receiving Centres if your system is monitored

Service providers such as Worldpay,when you make a card payment.

Police authorities when you have a police response alarm system.

We do not and never will sell or share your information to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

Your Rights

In preventing the use or processing your personal data, it may delay or prevent us from fulfilling our contracted obligations to you and provide a service to you.

You have the right to object to our use of your personal or ask us to delete, remove or stop using it if there is no need to us to keep it; this is known as your right to be forgotten. There may be legal and accountancy reasons why we have to keep your data, but please inform us if you think we are retaining or using your data incorrectly.

We will not contact you for marketing purposes, only for the purposes of carrying out our obligations to you as per your contract.

Accessing and Updating your Data

You have the right to know the personal information we hold about you, and must inform us if any of your personal information changes or if you suspect that the data we hold is inaccurate, so that we can update our records.

Where we store your personal data

We follow ISO accepted standards and protect the personal data we collect. This includes the use of encryption where appropriate. All electronic data is stored to our own server. Only authorised personnel have access to information held and it is password protected. All personnel employed by Patrol Alarm Systems Ltd have been security screened as per NSI requirements.

All non-electronic files are stored securely and the premises are protected by NSI Gold approved Police Response Alarm, CCTV and Access Control Systems


We agree to take reasonable steps to protect your data in line with legal requirements.
